The Momentum Podcast

How do I create more time? How do I get organized so I can finally relax and enjoy my life? How do I improve my energy? How do I ask for help? How can I be more patient with my kids? How can I be more present? How can I find time for self-care? How do I help my child who is struggling with his/her mental health? How do I make time for a girl’s night out? How can I find balance in my life? How can I improve communication with my spouse? If you’ve ever asked yourself (or Google) any of these questions, then this show is for you! The Mom-entum podcast aims to serve overwhelmed Moms who struggle to find balance. It’s a place for Moms to find solutions to problems and get support all along the way. As they say, “it takes a village”. Many of us feel like where is the village? We feel like we have no help. We feel like we must do it alone. And although we are never alone, we can’t even go to the bathroom without a kid infringing on our privacy, we ironically feel so lonely at times. The Mom-entum podcast bypasses the small talk and gets right into the real struggles Moms face every day. We talk to real moms who are deep in the trenches as well as the ones who have been there and have come to share what they’ve learned along the way. Each week, I’ll introduce new ways of thinking and discuss tangible, actionable tools that you can implement to simplify your life and promote peace and joy in your home. Go from treading water to finally finding your flow in motherhood.

Are your supplements really working—or just expensive placebos? 🤔
This week on the podcast, I’m joined by Cassy Velazquez, biologist-turned-nutritionist, mom of two, and founder of Fussy Mom, a clean supplement brand built by a woman who’s seen everything behind the scenes of the wellness industry.
After helping launch brands like Metagenics, Arbonne, and Herbalife, Cassy faced her own fertility struggles and discovered she had the MTHFR gene mutation—which meant she couldn’t properly absorb the folic acid found in most prenatal vitamins. That moment changed everything.
In this episode, we dive into:
What the MTHFR gene is, how to get tested, and what to do if you have it
Her top 3 supplements for moms: prenatal, hair growth, and mood support
How to decode supplement labels (and what red flags to watch for)
The mental load of modern motherhood and why “doing it all” is a myth
Whether you're TTC, pregnant, postpartum, or just trying to make smarter wellness choices, this episode will help you navigate supplements with clarity, confidence, and science on your side.
🎧 Listen now for tips, truth bombs, and an inside look at an industry most of us don’t question nearly enough.

The Moment Everything Changed

Wednesday Jun 25, 2025

Today I’m re-releasing the very first episode of this podcast—the one where it all began. In it, I share the deeply personal, life-changing events that cracked me open and led me down an unexpected path of healing, spiritual growth, podcasting, and eventually, life coaching.
Whether you’re brand new here or you’ve been with me from the start, I invite you to listen with an open mind and an open heart. Because who we are today often hears things in a whole new way.
At the end of the episode, I share a powerful update on the story I told back in October 2023—about a painful loss, addiction, and the complex emotions I’ve been navigating ever since. I’m also opening up about the spiritual lessons I’ve been learning from The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav, and how it's helping me shift from judgment to compassion—even when it’s hard.
This summer, I’m taking a break from recording new episodes to be fully present with my family and finish creating my Time Management Course (coming this fall!). But I’ll be bringing you one encore episode each week—some of the most downloaded, meaningful conversations from the podcast so far.
And if you haven’t joined Mom Camp: Your Summer Survival Guide, it’s not too late! You’ll get weekly tips, soulful support, and virtual meetups with moms who get it. Click here to join!

What happens when the hustle grinds to a halt—and you’re forced to reevaluate everything?
In this powerful and deeply personal episode, I sit down with Melissa Hampton, a certified financial advisor, single mom of two, and the founder of Hampton Wealth Management. Melissa isn’t just a savvy businesswoman—she’s a survivor, a truth-teller, and someone who’s had her life turned completely upside down…and lived to tell the story with more purpose than ever before.
In 2022, Melissa’s 7-year-old son fell critically ill, and what started as a tummy ache quickly turned into a nightmare. Four months in the ICU, no medical answers, and a moment where she was told to say goodbye. But she didn’t. Instead, she surrendered—fully, painfully, and faithfully. That moment shifted everything.
We talk about:
What it really means to live with intention (and how Melissa doubled her time with her kids and her income)
Forgiving the seemingly unforgivable—including exes, and even ourselves
Why success isn’t about the hustle, but about having the freedom to show up for what matters most
The question Melissa poses that just might change your life: What would quality over quantity look like in your world?
This episode is equal parts heart-wrenching and hope-filled. Whether you’re in a season of survival or seeking a slower, more intentional pace of life, Melissa’s story will speak to your soul. It’s a beautiful reminder that even in our darkest valleys, there’s light ahead—and we get to choose how we walk toward it.

Ever feel like you’re stuck in survival mode, just trying to make it through the day without losing your mind? Same, mama. That’s why this episode is a breath of fresh air.

I’m joined by Ginny Bracht—artist, geologist, and fellow mom navigating a beautifully neurodiverse family—who discovered a totally unexpected, totally doable way to calm her mind and reconnect with herself during one of the hardest seasons of her life. Spoiler alert: it involves zero art skills and takes just five minutes a day.

We’re talking about tiny art practices—yes, even doodling on the back of a cereal box counts. In this conversation, Ginny shares how this simple habit helped regulate her nervous system, shift her mood, and bring a little beauty into the chaos of motherhood. You’ll also hear how to get your kids involved, what to do when your brain tells you “you’re not creative,” and why the process matters way more than the product.

Whether you’re deep in the trenches or just craving a new way to reset, this episode is packed with practical tips, gentle encouragement, and a reminder that you can feel better—starting now.

This episode is a gentle, emotional reminder to pause, breathe, and refocus on what really matters in motherhood and life. I’m sharing a heartbreaking story that hit close to home—a tragedy that shook our school community—and the reflections and spiritual encouragement that followed.
Sometimes, life gives us unexpected reminders to stop sweating the small stuff and start soaking in the precious, everyday moments. I’m hoping this episode helps you do just that.
I also share a couple of powerful podcast episodes that brought me comfort this week, including an interview about near-death experiences and one on rebuilding life after loss—both of which helped shift my perspective and reminded me to focus on love, faith, and gratitude.
And real quick—if you caught last week’s episode with Kelsey Cook from Learning with Kelsey, I wanted to correct something:
I said to use the code MOMENTUM at checkout for 15% off, but the actual way to claim your discount is to CLICK THIS LINK.
Once you click it, your 15% off will be automatically applied at checkout—no code needed. Sorry for the confusion, mama—that was totally my bad!
