The Momentum Podcast

How do I create more time? How do I get organized so I can finally relax and enjoy my life? How do I improve my energy? How do I ask for help? How can I be more patient with my kids? How can I be more present? How can I find time for self-care? How do I help my child who is struggling with his/her mental health? How do I make time for a girl’s night out? How can I find balance in my life? How can I improve communication with my spouse? If you’ve ever asked yourself (or Google) any of these questions, then this show is for you! The Mom-entum podcast aims to serve overwhelmed Moms who struggle to find balance. It’s a place for Moms to find solutions to problems and get support all along the way. As they say, “it takes a village”. Many of us feel like where is the village? We feel like we have no help. We feel like we must do it alone. And although we are never alone, we can’t even go to the bathroom without a kid infringing on our privacy, we ironically feel so lonely at times. The Mom-entum podcast bypasses the small talk and gets right into the real struggles Moms face every day. We talk to real moms who are deep in the trenches as well as the ones who have been there and have come to share what they’ve learned along the way. Each week, I’ll introduce new ways of thinking and discuss tangible, actionable tools that you can implement to simplify your life and promote peace and joy in your home. Go from treading water to finally finding your flow in motherhood.

Hey there, Mamas! I invite you to join me for a real-talk session on The Mom-entum Podcast. But first, let's talk real life.

You know those moments when life throws you a curveball? Well, my dear friend Christina Cano and her daughter Ainslee are facing one heck of a challenge with Ainslee's recent diagnosis of Stage 3 Burkett’s Lymphoma (which is a form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma). It’s tough, but they're fighters, and we're rallying around them.  I ask that you please consider making a donation to help make this challenging time a little bit easier on them.  If you are able, and wish to show your support, you can make a donation via GoFundMe or GiveInKind.  Know that every little bit counts.  But at the very least, if you could please keep Christina, Ainslee and their family in your prayers, I would be forever grateful!

Now, onto today's chat: weight loss. Yep, we're diving deep into the nitty-gritty of cravings, desire, and those pesky hunger pangs. Ever wondered why you just can't resist that extra cookie or glass of wine? Trust me, it's not just about willpower.

What’s going on is our brain is on dopamine overload, in this land of plenty.  We have so much available to us at just the click of a button, so many opportunities for instant gratification, and we are bombarded with messages from the media telling us what we are missing in our lives, what is wrong with us, and we would feel so much better if we just buy their product.  Remember that commercial “You’re not you when you’re hungry, grab a Snickers!”?

But here's the thing: we don’t have to give up all the good stuff; it's about finding balance and reclaiming your power.

Think about it: what if food wasn't the center of your universe? Imagine the possibilities! That's what we're exploring today – breaking free from food-centric living and reclaiming your time, energy, and zest for life.

But hey, I'm not just here to dish out advice. I'm in the trenches with you, navigating this crazy journey called motherhood. So cozy up, pop in those ear buds, grab your favorite beverage, and let's dive in together.

Stick around 'til the end, where I'll give you a sneak peek into next week's episode. Trust me, you won't want to miss it.

So, mama, are you ready to rewrite your story and reclaim your joy? Tune in now, and let's embark on this adventure together.
