The Momentum Podcast
How do I create more time? How do I get organized so I can finally relax and enjoy my life? How do I improve my energy? How do I ask for help? How can I be more patient with my kids? How can I be more present? How can I find time for self-care? How do I help my child who is struggling with his/her mental health? How do I make time for a girl’s night out? How can I find balance in my life? How can I improve communication with my spouse? If you’ve ever asked yourself (or Google) any of these questions, then this show is for you! The Mom-entum podcast aims to serve overwhelmed Moms who struggle to find balance. It’s a place for Moms to find solutions to problems and get support all along the way. As they say, “it takes a village”. Many of us feel like where is the village? We feel like we have no help. We feel like we must do it alone. And although we are never alone, we can’t even go to the bathroom without a kid infringing on our privacy, we ironically feel so lonely at times. The Mom-entum podcast bypasses the small talk and gets right into the real struggles Moms face every day. We talk to real moms who are deep in the trenches as well as the ones who have been there and have come to share what they’ve learned along the way. Each week, I’ll introduce new ways of thinking and discuss tangible, actionable tools that you can implement to simplify your life and promote peace and joy in your home. Go from treading water to finally finding your flow in motherhood.

Hello and welcome to a very special episode of The Mom-entum Podcast! Today, I’m thrilled to introduce my dream guest and major inspiration, Rachel Nielson, host of 3 in 30 Takeaways for Moms!
If you’ve been listening for a while, you might remember episode 40, where I talked about Rachel’s “Flecks of Gold” journal—a practice that’s helped me look for and focus on the golden moments of motherhood, which helps me cultivate more joy in my life, filling me with gratitude and helping me through the hard days. We discuss practical strategies to help them develop resilience, ways to show support even when we’re struggling ourselves, and the importance of showing ourselves grace. Rachel’s reminders to embrace our own humanity and avoid the “shame spiral” are exactly what we need in those challenging parenting moments.
I’m so excited for you to hear Rachel’s wisdom on how we can stand beside our kids, show them our belief in their strength, and ultimately help them grow through their own struggles. And don’t miss Rachel’s offer for $5 off her Flecks of Gold journal, which makes a wonderful gift for yourself or another mom. Enjoy this inspiring conversation!
