The Momentum Podcast
How do I create more time? How do I get organized so I can finally relax and enjoy my life? How do I improve my energy? How do I ask for help? How can I be more patient with my kids? How can I be more present? How can I find time for self-care? How do I help my child who is struggling with his/her mental health? How do I make time for a girl’s night out? How can I find balance in my life? How can I improve communication with my spouse? If you’ve ever asked yourself (or Google) any of these questions, then this show is for you! The Mom-entum podcast aims to serve overwhelmed Moms who struggle to find balance. It’s a place for Moms to find solutions to problems and get support all along the way. As they say, “it takes a village”. Many of us feel like where is the village? We feel like we have no help. We feel like we must do it alone. And although we are never alone, we can’t even go to the bathroom without a kid infringing on our privacy, we ironically feel so lonely at times. The Mom-entum podcast bypasses the small talk and gets right into the real struggles Moms face every day. We talk to real moms who are deep in the trenches as well as the ones who have been there and have come to share what they’ve learned along the way. Each week, I’ll introduce new ways of thinking and discuss tangible, actionable tools that you can implement to simplify your life and promote peace and joy in your home. Go from treading water to finally finding your flow in motherhood.

What if no one’s coming to save you—because you were always meant to save yourself?
In this empowering episode of The Mom-entum Podcast, I’m joined by the unstoppable Rebekah Higgs—better known as DIY MOM. She’s a single mom, designer, renovator, and founder of the hit show DIY MOM, and she’s here to remind you that with a little grit, creativity, and determination, you can absolutely build the life (and home) of your dreams.
Rebekah shares her inspiring journey from struggling musician and new mom to successful entrepreneur and design queen. We talk about how she learned to “make it happen”—a mantra passed down from her father—and how it’s become the driving force behind everything she’s built. You’ll hear how she’s faced doubt, rejection, and tough circumstances, and still pushed forward—sometimes juggling parenting, production, and power tools all in the same day.
Whether you’re dreaming of starting something new, craving creative inspiration, or just need that reminder that you’re capable of so much more than you think—this episode will light a fire in you.
Plus, you’ll get Rebekah’s top tips for tackling your first DIY project (like reupholstering dining chairs… ahem, stay tuned for my update on that one!), and learn how to support her beautiful You Grow Girl gardening box initiative that gives back to women and children in need.
This is a conversation about resilience, resourcefulness, and reclaiming your power—don’t miss it.

What if I told you that time management isn’t just about productivity—it’s about peace?
In this episode, I’m sharing how shifting the way I manage my time completely transformed my stress levels, my patience, and my ability to actually enjoy motherhood instead of just surviving it. You’ll hear:
✔️ The embarrassing time management fail from my college days.
✔️ The game-changing mindset shift that took me from frazzled and overwhelmed to calm and in control.
✔️ Why we struggle to follow through on good habits (and how to actually make them stick).
✔️ The brain science behind habits and how to rewire your thinking for long-term success.
✔️ Why planning your free time first is the secret to having more of it.
The truth is, you don’t need more hours in the day—you just need a better way to use the ones you already have. And when you manage your time well, you’re not just changing your life—you’re teaching your kids an invaluable skill, too.

Are you someone who snaps on your kids and then suffers with guilt later? You want to be an example for them to learn how to regulate their emotions, but it can be so hard when you’re tested at every turn. You’re spinning so many plates, juggling countless responsibilities, trying to make everyone else happy—yet you haven’t even figured out how to make yourself happy. Life feels so chaotic that you wish there was a reset button you could press. If that sounds like you, then this is the episode for you.
Today, we’re diving into lessons from Eckhart Tolle’s A New Earth and exploring the transformative power of conscious suffering. What does it mean to suffer consciously? How can radical acceptance be the key to finding calm and peace amidst life’s chaos? I’ll break it all down and share how embracing these ideas can help you transcend emotional struggles and show up with more intention and patience for yourself and your family. If you’re ready to move from chaos to calm, this episode is a must-listen.
