The Momentum Podcast
How do I create more time? How do I get organized so I can finally relax and enjoy my life? How do I improve my energy? How do I ask for help? How can I be more patient with my kids? How can I be more present? How can I find time for self-care? How do I help my child who is struggling with his/her mental health? How do I make time for a girl’s night out? How can I find balance in my life? How can I improve communication with my spouse? If you’ve ever asked yourself (or Google) any of these questions, then this show is for you! The Mom-entum podcast aims to serve overwhelmed Moms who struggle to find balance. It’s a place for Moms to find solutions to problems and get support all along the way. As they say, “it takes a village”. Many of us feel like where is the village? We feel like we have no help. We feel like we must do it alone. And although we are never alone, we can’t even go to the bathroom without a kid infringing on our privacy, we ironically feel so lonely at times. The Mom-entum podcast bypasses the small talk and gets right into the real struggles Moms face every day. We talk to real moms who are deep in the trenches as well as the ones who have been there and have come to share what they’ve learned along the way. Each week, I’ll introduce new ways of thinking and discuss tangible, actionable tools that you can implement to simplify your life and promote peace and joy in your home. Go from treading water to finally finding your flow in motherhood.

What happens when the hustle grinds to a halt—and you’re forced to reevaluate everything?
In this powerful and deeply personal episode, I sit down with Melissa Hampton, a certified financial advisor, single mom of two, and the founder of Hampton Wealth Management. Melissa isn’t just a savvy businesswoman—she’s a survivor, a truth-teller, and someone who’s had her life turned completely upside down…and lived to tell the story with more purpose than ever before.
In 2022, Melissa’s 7-year-old son fell critically ill, and what started as a tummy ache quickly turned into a nightmare. Four months in the ICU, no medical answers, and a moment where she was told to say goodbye. But she didn’t. Instead, she surrendered—fully, painfully, and faithfully. That moment shifted everything.
We talk about:
What it really means to live with intention (and how Melissa doubled her time with her kids and her income)
Forgiving the seemingly unforgivable—including exes, and even ourselves
Why success isn’t about the hustle, but about having the freedom to show up for what matters most
The question Melissa poses that just might change your life: What would quality over quantity look like in your world?
This episode is equal parts heart-wrenching and hope-filled. Whether you’re in a season of survival or seeking a slower, more intentional pace of life, Melissa’s story will speak to your soul. It’s a beautiful reminder that even in our darkest valleys, there’s light ahead—and we get to choose how we walk toward it.

Ever feel like you’re stuck in survival mode, just trying to make it through the day without losing your mind? Same, mama. That’s why this episode is a breath of fresh air.
I’m joined by Ginny Bracht—artist, geologist, and fellow mom navigating a beautifully neurodiverse family—who discovered a totally unexpected, totally doable way to calm her mind and reconnect with herself during one of the hardest seasons of her life. Spoiler alert: it involves zero art skills and takes just five minutes a day.
We’re talking about tiny art practices—yes, even doodling on the back of a cereal box counts. In this conversation, Ginny shares how this simple habit helped regulate her nervous system, shift her mood, and bring a little beauty into the chaos of motherhood. You’ll also hear how to get your kids involved, what to do when your brain tells you “you’re not creative,” and why the process matters way more than the product.
Whether you’re deep in the trenches or just craving a new way to reset, this episode is packed with practical tips, gentle encouragement, and a reminder that you can feel better—starting now.
